Apérochic evenings never fail to impress and this one did it in spades. This event was held at Cabana Pool Bar. It felt like we were walking into a Caribbean oasis when we arrived at this amazing venue located by the lake. The breathtaking view, palm trees surrounding the bar and pool area, the white and wood style outdoor furniture seating area, looked like it came out of the pages of that tropical travel Caribbean magazine showing the places that we all dream of going to. If you have not yet visited this location, you should definitely put it on your list. You will not be disappointed. This is a terrific venue for social events with friends.
The 1500+ guests came dressed in blue, red and white, (colors of the French flag of course) in celebration of Bastille Day, which commemorates the Storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789. And blue, red and white balloons and French flags were flying in the wind. But for this year, way more important for the guests, it was also the celebration of the recent World Champion title of the soccer French team who beat Croatia team 4 to 2 on Sunday, July 15. The atmosphere was vibrant and alive with people everywhere. A night filled with music, dancing, and laughter flowed around the pool and bar area. People were taking pictures and videos with the flags to include on their social media to share with those who were missing this incredible event. It was truly beautiful to see everyone having such a great time and feeling so relaxed and free, taking a break from their everyday life. Feeling so proud to be French too!
The delicious food was catered by Oliver and Bonacini, which have a few locations in Toronto. The menu features fresh, seasonal pastas, salads, burgers, sandwiches and fire-roasted pizzas, along with globally and chef inspired daily specials. For those who prefer to sip and snack, the bar bites, hand-crafted cocktails and curated wines are ideal for sharing and lingering in the lounge.
Once again, this Apérochic social event was a huge success. The next Apérochic event is on July 30, 2018, Sunset at The Spoke Club beginning at 6:30pm. You can reserve your spot on the website at www.aperochic.ca. This is another event not to be missed.
Until we meet again, I remain yours.
